KTM RC8? Looking for input.
« on: March 13, 2014, 06:52:04 PM »
Hey all,
I figured I would ask here since this is the place with the most diversity & knowledge when it comes different bikes/brands among members.  I am looking for input(positive and negative) regarding the KTM RC8. Have any of you owned/currently own one?  What do you like and dislike about the bike?  I'm thinking about picking up a new 2013 and just want to hear if there is a known reason to stay away from it.  I like the V-twin power as I had a Ducati 1098S but wanted to give something different a try.  I look forward to your input!

Thanks,
-John

DucMan over on MNSBR had one.

I think they like the Aprilia v twins are a lot less $ intensive in maintainance costs. ;)

2013 was the year they got the much needed and appreciated upgrades wasn't it?

I rode one about 8 miles on my test loop last summer and it was much nicer than I expected and it did wheelies all day long.
they aren't terrible to work on, I have zero input on riding it for a 300 or 400 mile day though
What you just read is based on my experience and the info I have acquired during my life. Yes, I post long responses regularly because I like to fully explain my views. If you don't like it or agree with what I have to say; ignore it. I HATE LIARS ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO PRETEND TO BE YOUR FRIEND!
