Texting Question
« on: September 02, 2014, 11:28:18 AM »
I'm wondering if any of you find your text messages delayed. I started to notice delays last year but it is getting worse now. I see the time on incoming messages and there is often a delay of 4 to as much as 48 hours. Anybody else have this problem? I'm with AT&T. Is Verizon or another company better?

I got sprint. No delays more than a minute or two.

Seems to happen more if you turn your phone off or run out of the service area (obviously).

Maybe its possible you are riding out on backroads and get sent a text when you are out of service and it just delays getting to you because it couldn't get to you at the time.

Verizon.  Zero issues.

I have heard from a couple of people that they are having trouble with AT&T.  Hopefully it is a temporary annoyance.

I have AT&T as well and experience those same problems. I called them and discussed the issue, nothing was resolved, customer service agent sounded like she didn't believe me.
These people have taught me more about riding than any day spent on a track: Larry B, Tony K, Vince J, Mr. Wonderful, V2Neal, Marty F, Kevin B, Devon W, Ehrich, Mike A, John L, Arnell, Kirk, Ray C

Track days are like climbing the rock wall at REI.
Perhaps I need to stop taking the high road.

my wife, "Didn't you see my text?!"
me, "Yeah, didn't you receive my reply???"
I then show her that it shows up on my phone as sent but never arrives on her phone

Yep ATT

I wonder if the Mac iMessage program some how screws things up because entire parts of conversations don't show up on the laptop. For example it doesn't show any of our texts since 8/26
