MS River Road Run
« on: July 31, 2019, 07:12:57 AM »
The MS River Road Run, is a ride to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. This year’s date is Aug. 17-18, 2019, starting in Lakeville, MN at Leo's and riding to Hastings, not taking a direct route, and then following the river for a short time and back to Welch Village and more back roads to Wabasha for a noon lunch.  After lunch, head into Wisconsin to Independence and Dodge and many more of the alphabet roads and a few named roads, such as Alligator Slide and then cross back to Minnesota before ending on Saturday at Winona, after riding about 240 miles, with a banquet.  Sunday we head back to Hastings and then to home wherever that might be for the rider.

You can sign-up on line or at Leo’s on Saturday morning.  It is preferred that you sign up on line, to help plan for food.

This is a "One of a Kind- Ride at your Own Pace"
Charity Event to Benefit the MS Society

At the Start of the MS River Road Run, each rider is given a route booklet, with turn-by-turn directions.  As well as the route is marked with bright orange signs and arrows for each turn.

We do leave as a group in the morning, but once on the road, you can ride at your own pace, by yourself or with a group.  The first planned gas stop is about 10 miles from the Start at Leo's.  That is where riders either continue on their own, or meet up with a friend and form their own group, if they so desire.

There is also a truck and trailer that follows the last rider, in case someone needs assistance and a haul of the bike.
