Updated: 06/25/2010 10:04:22 AM CDT

A 44-year-old Pepin man died when his motorcycle collided with a minivan in Pierce County Thursday night, the Pierce County sheriff's office said.

Around 7:11 p.m., a minivan pulled out from a stop at County Road D and Wisconsin 35 in Isabelle Township and into the path of a motorcycle going south on Wisconsin 35. The bike hit the van, ejecting the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, Tony Preuhs, 44, of Pepin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The minivan driver, Robert Kadow, 66, of Maiden Rock, suffered minor injuries. Kadow's 14-year-old grandson, who was a passenger, was not hurt.

The sheriff's office is investigating.

Geeze I sure get tired of hearing "man died when his motorcycle collided with a minivan" makes it sound like the fault was his. I know they self corrected in the next paragraph, but still.
