In the text which accompanied the photos online, MCN only commented on the bravery of the photographer and didn't say anything about the rider, so I assume the rider is fine.

If it was a test photo shoot, I'm surprised the photos were even published at all, and not quietly sweop under the rug.

My first thought was "Why is that guy in the left lane when he's not even sliding!" And then I realized that this was Motorcycle News, and they're probably riding in England.
