New to MSTA
« on: April 17, 2011, 12:49:27 PM »
Hey, Keith McKenna, new to the association. Both myself and my wife ride. Her on a SV650s, me a Bandit 1200. Have taken a bit of a break form bikes but coming back strong. Work as a photographer/assistant. Going to be making trips to BIR for CRA races, maybe SuperMoto in Cokato, Road America for LaMans and Iowa for Indy Cars. Need to find sport touring riders to hang with. Going to CRA opener on May 6-8. Gonna work the event on Friday and work Saturday, or maybe shoot photo's. Anyone interested? Let me know. we can meet up.

Hi Keith,

Welcome

I have heard that the Sumo at Cokato is a no-go this year.

Ya, I couldn't find any info on race dates, so I kinda wondered if that was the case.

Hi Keith, hope to meet both you and your wife on a ride this season!  Welcome!
Those who have actually NEVER tried riding the track could learn a thing or 10 about being a better streetrider; because let's be honest; none of us (Greg) are as great as we think we are. LMAO!

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to meeting you on a ride later this season.

Out of curiosity, how did you hear about us?

I found the msta website while searching the web. Googled minnesota sport touring motorcycles(i think) and the site popped up.
Maybe sometime this summer, we could set up a date where I haul out some pro photo gear to set up a photo shoot for the association members. I could bring lighting, maybe gain the use of a friends studio, or I could pack up some reflectors and we could ride to some beautiful location.
 Just something I'm thinking about.

That's a really nice offer and definitely something to think about.

Some of us already have mug shots, you could just use them.

Welcome Keith :)
These people have taught me more about riding than any day spent on a track: Larry B, Tony K, Vince J, Mr. Wonderful, V2Neal, Marty F, Kevin B, Devon W, Ehrich, Mike A, John L, Arnell, Kirk, Ray C

Track days are like climbing the rock wall at REI.
Perhaps I need to stop taking the high road.
