Glad both of you are ok!  Two personal friends of mine have hit deer.  One of them hit a 220# buck and he killed it but also totaled his bike and went flying, luckily he was not hit or seriously injured.  The other hit a fawn with his Guzzi and he ripped through it and also stayed upright, but it messed up his bike as well.

However, you maintained control with a passenger behind you.  Great job is all I can say.

I have been thinking about this for two days now and even tho I didn't get hit in the head I remember more about it. It was getting dark out and there was trees close to the road on the westside. It was quick and I did see the deer land in the land in front of me and stop in the left land and turn around. It was quick but I did let off on the gas. I was going for the brakes and that is went it jump for ward and in front of me. This is why the others behind be said they saw my brake light.  I just wish I would have seen it on the side of the road. When we finally left it was dark out and you needed lights to drive. My wife told me I was getting old and couldn't think fast enough and I should slow down. The top was down on the car and I threw her out and backed over her and then drove over Bambi again with the car.

Well I 'm back from the doctor and the wrist is OK and now I can't type because they wrap it up for a few days. My big toe they think is broke so they taped it to the other toe. I'm so much better now. lol
By the way has anyone seen my wife I think she missing. All I remember is she said I had to get a slower bike. Maybe in a few days something will come back to me.

You got a keeper of a wife Vince. Many wives would have said, no more riding bikes, but instead you're wife not only doesn't say no more bike, or no getting a faster bike, she just says you gotta get a slower bike. Sounds like she just green lighted you on not only getting a faster bike to replace your CBR, but on getting a slower bike to boot. Gotta love Mary, thinking that because you crashed, you need more bikes. Perhaps an S1000R and a Daytona 675R was what she had in mind...
