MN boys doing tour de Colorado
« on: September 06, 2011, 07:40:36 PM »
"Mtnduc" & "Neub" here. We are on a 6 days, mega mile twist & shout, tire eating tour. We are riding beautiful canyon roads, up and over Mtn passes and having the time of our life.  We went up to Pikes Peak and today went 200 miles before rain ended our ride today. So we ended up in Gunnison, good food/ great beer, not a bad place to stay. More later...

Nice! I did a CO trip last summer and had a blast, great roads and scenery. Looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing some stories.  :)

Also, two of my favorite stretches of my trip are right near Gunnison... the first ~10-15 miles of 114 heading south from hwy 50 are very tight and twisty. And then hwy 92 heading north from hwy 50 is pure cornering bliss!
It's not what you ride, but how you ride it that counts!

Awesome!  Look forward to your trip report and pictures.  have fun, be safe!
Those who have actually NEVER tried riding the track could learn a thing or 10 about being a better streetrider; because let's be honest; none of us (Greg) are as great as we think we are. LMAO!

You go guys!

Allot of good riding in CO. Everything from Alps like to the desert southwest. Hope you have a safe trip and make it to some of the less common sights like Colorado National Monument.

STAR (June 24th thru June 27th, 2012) is in Avon, CO next year and it is likely we'll put together a group trip to do STAR as well as a few more days of riding CO for a total of 7 days of riding. We did this in 2006 when STAR was last in CO.

Looking forward to more trip reports and pics!

+1 on Hwy 92 above Black Canyon. Awesome stretch of road.
