Theilman kicked ass.  I've very little dirty bike experience, but had a blast at Thielman this year (aside from losing a rider for most of the day when his fuel pump failed).  Even better was Pillsbury State Forest.  That place is full of goat paths. Up, down, turn, etc, with a generous portion of rocks.  That weekend ride will be fodder for the tapes I'll be playing over and over and over again on the brain-screen this winter.

Having ridden at Pillsbury, I do wonder how people ride through those trails at anything approahing competition speed.
