Good article by Dylan Code, not sure if he's related to Keith Code.
Starts on page 4.

Dylan is Keith's son.  He was the lead instructor when I did CSS at VIR last year.   Great communication skills, sense of humour and a hell of a nice guy.

Nice read, thanks for posting.

so does a safer bike equate to riding on the electronics, trac control and abs, or is that there just as an extra safety step??
i have abs and can could on one hand how many times it has kicked in, others seem to hammer the brakes soooo hard it is always oninterestinging advancements though

From the article, seems like they left all the electronics on and results in less crash vs. prior year.  I know its not scientific, but its the best data I've seen.

Well I would go back to the mnsbr forum to your thread that you started when you bought the bike and posted pictures of it. I would post this and clear your name a hole. Lol.

For some of you they call him that on that forum because he had that bike.

Haha Vince, that maybe the funniest things I've heard you say.  I have no problem with that thread, I think its funny as hell.
For those that don't know what Vince is talking about here's the old thread.  If you got 30 minutes to kill, read it.
I can't promise you'll get your 30mins back if you think it was a wasted time.

LMAO! Vince there is no such thing as clearing your name over there. You're either in their elite group of assholes or an outsider douchebag. But go ahead Ge and post it up! I agree with Vince!

They are probably just jealous because Ge has a nicer bike than most of them have.

Wow, while I'm a total outsider to that whole thread/community I did read most of that and wow that was painful, so many idiots.

The best was the guy who said that if you have ABS it will be bound to fail and that you WILL end up doing an endo because of you'll have no idea how to brake. (As if it does all braking for you???)

Like Joel said in 50k miles on ABS bikes I've had it come on about 2 times for a few milliseconds when braking heavily, other than practicing in a parking lot where I can tell you that ABS allows you to have confidence in braking and keeping your wits about you and not worrying about the front tire locking up and dumping you on the ground - which is how I had my only street crash back in '99.

+1 it takes almost nothing to make heads explode! Someone started a thread about the Ghost Riders and of course they are extremely misinformed about us. I made one comment that I was a Ghost Rider and played nice and they still got their panties in a bunch so I dropped it..... Ge, let's go revive some entertaining threads! LOL its winter and everyone is getting bored

good thread over there, crazy for sure.

i still wonder how ABS will work once a bike leaves the pavement, i.e. running wide on a corner into the grass, but the ABS won't let the tires slip and you can't stop prior to the trees 100 yards away.  that's my fear/scenario...  or if you follow someone when the road randomly turns to gravel (I've heard this can happen :/ ) and they control-skid to a stop digging a trench while ABS does its thing and you hit them going 10 or 20 mph or something...  not dissing the tech, just wondering how it'll help when the lack of adhesion lasts longer than you want it to.
