Lake Superior Loop Experience

I'm working on a generic article about the Lake Superior Loop by motorcycle. If any of you have a favorite attraction, section of the loop, city to hang out in, or anything that you wouldn't mind being quoted about, I'd love the input.

I absolutely love coming down the hill into Lake Superior Provincial Park and the park itself!
Another highlight, if traveling with family, are the Amethyst mines outside Thunder Bay.
Don't skip the Kewenaw Peninsula, even if strapped for time.
Get off the marked route occasionally to get closer to the water.
See Whitefish Point, MI, there is a nice restaurant in the Tahquamenon State Park there.
Don't miss the Yellow Brick Road!

Ian (and anyone else who wouldn't mind being directly quoted in the article),
Would you email your comments directly to me (along with the name you'd like used in the article and the motorcycle make and model you ride on the Loop)?
