Thanks for all the positive comments folks, I'm really looking forward to this bike. I hope it has the staying power of my 916.

OTOH, the other yet to break cover bike passed a milestone the other day and is now DNR registered. Next step is Subd 12 Dual Registration. Wish me luck! This bike will be even rarer an unique than the Panigale.

Just to balance out the press, I decided to search for a bad review.   Darn,   no luck!!!

The only bad was a tall, fat guy with bad knees who said he didn't fit.   However, his concerns may not apply to you Ray.   ::)

So the bike I arrived. It is being shown as I type this at Motoprimo. I went down today to finalize the deal and changed my mind and cancelled my order.

If anyone wants, the bike is for sale. You could be riding a new 1199S tomorrow.

No, a better much more frightening deal....

BTW, if you know anyone who wants a 1098S, John Leo's bike is about as clean a bike as you could possibly find.

For what it's worth, the 2012 S1000RR won over the 2012 Panigale in the latest MCN shootout.  1.5s a lap slower - stating corner stability as a major factor.  At our level of riding, none of this is relavent... The Panigale sure is pretty.
