Title: New guy from Apple Valley
Post by: ZRX_Greg on April 08, 2013, 07:38:10 PM
Hi, just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Greg I've been a casual rider for 9 years. I first started off with a Suzuki Savage, then moved over to a brand new 05 R6 (First year of the Raven color) had that for awhile and sold it for a 05 R1 (Raven color of coarse lol) had that for a couple of years than sold it because I just wasn't riding as much and sold that to a buddy of mine who was looking for one. Then I went without a motorcycle for 2 years (two of the toughest) and had to get back into riding cause my 350z just wasnt filling that void. So after doing alot of searching and reading to figure what I wanted next I fell in love with the ZRX1200r. I love the retro look of the bike it's a 2002 that I bought a couple years ago with only 3400 miles and I wanted to get out of the Sport bike phase. Well hope that answers some questions and hope to be doing some riding here soon....  THINK WARM WEATHER!!!! :)

Welcome Greg! I owned a 2000 Black ZRX1100, the precursor to your bike. Loved every mile I put on it. If I could own more than one bike at a time, I never would have sold it.
Welcome to the group!

Greg as well.

Welcome and nice bike.  Besides a CF hood and kit anything done to your 350z?  My previous ride had a VQ35 in it.... it was quick but much more of a sleeper than anything.

I've done pretty much everything you can do to it except FI

Tons of suspension mods, lots of internal and external engine mods, drivetrain, wheels, the list just goes on I've had the Z for 9 years now so I've had plenty of time to slowly build it up. I track it regulary here's a pic of me on the Brainerd track last year. The year before I won fastest N/A V6.

Thanks. Now as far as this weather goes this snow better be all gone by the weekend. I was starting to get a little excited seeing the street sweepers out already that I'd soon be taking the bike out, now this damn snow storm that's coming is going to set back my riding another couple weeks...

Welcome. Good to have another Kawi owner around here.

Sports cars sorta failed to cut it for me after a GSXR entered my life.

Welcome! I'm in Burnsville and there's plenty of riders south of the river. Be safe out there and maybe I'll see you around this summer, you have a bike that will be easy to recognize :)
