For Sale/Wanted to Buy / Re: 2008 Summit XP "X" 154" E-Start - $6800
« on: March 08, 2012, 08:29:30 PM »
The sled actually only has 1222 miles not 1500.  It has been a while since I actually uncovered and started it to see the miles on it.. :-(

Thanks,
-John

All applicable updates have been done and the sled has been meticulously maintained. Excellent condition! Extras include BRP skid plate, premium gauge module(temp/altimeter), electric start, BRP tunnel bag, scratchers, Quick Clickers, BRP knee pads, more! 1500 western(Wyoming) only miles, never ridden in the Midwest snirt. Always transported in an enclosed trailer. There is still time to take a couple trips out west!! $6800.00.

General Banter / Re: Personal Attacks and Moderation
« on: December 11, 2011, 04:44:15 PM »
First I wanted to apologize for being lax on moderation recently. I've got a winter hobby totally unrelated to motorcycling and have been a bit focused on it. While I wasn't paying attention to this forum it appears some stuff has been posted that clearly needed to be moderated and some stuff was posted that the need to moderate was less clear. Either way in the past few months, the number of posts that have required moderation or needed to be considered for moderation has increased.

In an attempt to stop this trend, I'm going to try a different approach to moderation and see how it goes.

Any post which a member feels personally attacks them, can be reported by that person to me (click on the report post to moderator icon on the post) and I will moderate the post.

I hope that this removes any and all incentive for people to post things that are or can be perceived as personal attacks, and I hope this eliminates the need for anyone who feels they are being personally attacked to respond to the attack.

Simply put, no personal attacks folks. Please help me make this so.

Ray,
Did you buy a snowmobile?

General Banter / Re: Off season adventures?
« on: December 07, 2011, 05:34:13 PM »
Well for me it is snowmobiling. My sled is the fastest sled ever made out of the box. It has more HP than my motorcycle, 175 hp at the track and my CBR has 155 hp at the wheel.  So every time I ride this machine it is an adventure. So now that I am off work I would like to ride the circle tour. Which is a ride that starts in Crane Lake and goes into Canada and circles back. It takes about 3 days doing 350 to 400 miles days. I would like to go bake to Michigan to ride that road on the sled that is a trail we road just a few weeks ago to Grand Maria. I bet I could do an average of aver 100+ mph point to point on that road. Michigan has some of the best trail any were. So even if I'm not riding my bike this is my fix for the off season.

Elk,
Which year/model do you have?

Oh, I forgot... this one has the Ducati Performance slipper clutch on it as well.

Thanks,

I have always wanted to try a Italian bike so I picked up a Ducati 1098S,

Excellent choice!  It will be fun to have another one to join mine on a ride.

What year?  Color?  Other info?

Hello Elk,
Its a 2008 1098S, red in color. It has a lot of DP carbon goodies and a full Termi exhaust system, thats pretty much it..

Hopefully I wont have to use my AMA roadside assistance as Vince suggested! ;)

Thanks,
-John

Are you going to join the AMA for free roadside assistance.
Already am! ;)

Chris,
No, not at all! I have always wanted to try a Italian bike so I picked up a Ducati 1098S, that is the reason for selling the 1000RR.

I hope I wont be sorry...
