Introductions / New to the internet

...wait , just new to this site! I'm no stranger to teh interwebs, or to motorcycling.
I am a MN native who recently "retired" from the US Air Force (enlisted for 21 years). Been a life-long rider, starting on a Briggs & Stratton 50cc mini-bike, and working my way through the various makes/models one at a time. I currently have an '05 R1150RT, which I will ride until the day the wheels fall off. I'm also very slowly restoring my Dad's old Honda CB750, which sat in a shed for a decade....a full teardown & rebuild is in progress, I hope to put more time into that project once the snow flies. I was an MSF RiderCoach from 2003-11...took 2012 off, but hope to get back into that next year. I co-founded Chapter 22 of the Green Knights (www.greenknightsmmc.org), and was privileged to serve as Chapter President for a couple years. I have a horrible optical affliction though: I do not see speed limit signs. That probably popped up during my time spent in EuroLand, as they turned a blind eye to <cough> minor speed infractions <cough>.
I'm a motorcyclist vs. biker. A combination scofflaw speed freak & safety nut. I'm hoping this group will be a good fit for me. I guess you can sum it up as I'm here looking for good roads & fun rides... glad to be here.
Anybody know of any good twisties around Alexandria?
