That is sad. I met him last year when he showed up on a local ride I did with my neighbor. He lived about a mile from me. We hooked up through the Ninjette site.

If you don't know Barney. He was the owner of Larson's Cycle in Cambridge MN.
I believe he passed away at his home on Friday or Saturday.
I meet Barney way back when I was 16. My family started buying bikes from him way back then. I talked to him every time I was at the shop. We always talk at the track as well. We even raced each other a few times.
I was told he still opened the doors in the morning.
I will miss him. Rest in Peace.
Vince
If you would like to celebrate his life. That is at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. This Thursday from 11:30am. Service starts at 1 pm.

I don't know if Dave was a member here. But I have ridden with him many times. I think you may have seen him at Rays for a few MotoGP races.
He had the Green 250 Ninja with the ugly yellow travel trunk on the back of his bike.
We laughed about it every time we rode together.

I will miss you Dave.

General Banter / RIP TED SMITH

If any of you were budding motor-heads in the 60s I believe you'd remember Ted. His obituary is in today's paper but it doesn't mention the location of his little shop's location. It was right across Lake Street from Dulono's. Remember A Porky's at each end and dozens of lights to drag from in between. He was a true Icon of early Minnesota Motor Sports.

I was listening to the TV news in the garage this morning when they announced Winter had begun.  It made me so happy, because we are getting closer to the Riding Season in Minnesota.
Thanks for the posting and Merry Christmas to All and Happy New Year!

Also, registration has opened for STAR 2018 in La Crosse, WI this year.  Check it out on the  rideMSTA.com forum and register for a great time with the national group.
