I'm thinking the group is more diverse than homogeneous. Some want fast organized stuff on weekends. Others want longer real touring out of state. A lot would rather ride alone. Very few like me do long midweek day rides at what some would see as boring velocities. I don't post my shorter rides in the North and Westerly directions as they are mostly spur of moment things that might not interest anyone. And finally many folks can't find or won't take the time to ride. Perhaps a "Where did you ride this week" section would get some action. I had a nice 100 miler yesterday which might be the last of those unless we get some more weather gifts.

I go up through East Bethyl on roads between 65 & 35 to Stark N.E. of Camebridge. And east to a little park on Fish Lake. Sometimes I return on other roads in that same area or for a longer putt up through Grandy snaking S.W. to Elk River and Dayton home.

Thursday might be it for the season's nice days. I may do the Stark route again.

A wonderful day to get out. My northerly Stark route had no traffic and a lot of smooth fresh pavement. Hopefully many of you also got some riding done.

I've seen the drop off over the last decade. Understandably my weekday Wisconsin rides attract few folks as most others aren't retired. Used to get 6 or 8 but the last 2 seasons dwindled from 1 to 3 to none. I've kept posting them hoping to provide a little action especially to newbies who I love introducing to the Hill Country. Still contemplating a Fall color ride but not sure. Probably try again next May.

I hate to admit it but his ability & talent cannot be denied. The Honda may have something to do with his success but the other makes are closely competitive. His dustups with Rossi are so much like Roberts vs Spencer in 83/84. I still think D.C. is a good handle for him but he's earned his achievements.

I would usually preface that with 'Happy' but I can't say that considering the present state of our nation.

I'm curious as to the area that this ride took in-rural?  In the very old days(70s) riding with WBMC we'd be side by side. Those of us of the "Café" bent would go on ahead or play catch up so as to not mess up the pack. Having meeting points in town will attract some who want the negative style activity. My meetups being 100mi away don't fit in with their idea of fun. We've had a bad few weeks with the young fellow's "suicide by sport bike" and the 5 others just recently. Making folks wear proper gear would probably be as tough as taking  the AKs & ARs away.  OK,2 cents from Oldheimer.  P.S. What's the MORTAL COIL?

Wasn't SSB by chance? Sounds a lot like the old Caribou Death Rides in Coon rapids.
