Title: The "C" word
Post by: Duc Man on April 18, 2012, 08:28:19 AM
Cancer has reared its ugly head as of late and taken a few family members recently. Thoughts and prayers out to the survivors and everyone else affected by cancer.

Sorry to hear, Jon.

It is simply grueling to bear witness to something so awful and debilitating.

May I offer my own discoveries in coping with the loss of a loved one?  After the despair subsides, forgive yourself and allow happiness, fulfillment and enjoyment to find you again.  I am convinced that our loved ones continue to care for us and wish us to be free from suffering as they now are.

Sorry if that was too sappy; cancer just sux.

I spent my day yesterday with my Unlce who has nasty brain cancer.  He is very strong with it but it is taking its toll, he has lost his peripheral vision and some short term memory as the tumor grows again and pushes on his brain.

My mom passed away from cancer 2 years ago this month. She was born and raised in Cannon Falls. She and my dad are buried right next to each other in the cemetery there as you come into town on 19 from the east. I always honk as I ride by or stop and say hi if I can. Feel free to honk if you happen by!

I hate cancer.

that heinous disease took my beloved younger brother 2 and half years ago.
He was one my best friends and I think of him daily. I was grateful to be there
when he was brought home from the hospital as a baby, and I'm grateful that
he trusted me enough to help take care of him until the end. No grown man
should have to have his sister take care of him that way. Not once did he complain
and always thanked me for taking such good care of him.

cancer if pure evil.

lost my brother in law in his 20's and my father just over a year ago from it. My father was very quick so i guess that was a plus.
