So had an incident on a ride this weekend where a key was broken so I thought I'd take this opportunity to remind people to ensure they at least have their key code written down or otherwise recorded.

Of course if anyone has any questions on this subject let us know.  All is not lost if you don't have the key code but it really does increase the difficulty and/or price of making a key thru other means.

General Banter / Mindoro Cut??
« on: May 08, 2016, 02:10:20 AM »
On my way back to my place in WI this last Fri part of my route included WI Hwy 108 thru the cut but I thought it seemed different than in the past.

Maybe I'm crazy & I didn't go back thru just to see but thought I would post up this question to see if others have noticed that this year if you've hit it.  I also thought I remembered hearing that the 108 was re-routed to take the cut out.

If anyone has insight on this I'd love to hear it.....unless like I said I am just crazy.  LOL

Bump for good measure.   ;D

General Banter / Re: Looking towards next year .....

Great conversation so far & great ideas being thrown out there!!  I would like to contribute to putting rides out there for the calendar but need to make sure I can do so first.

I know over the years I have had some that I've cancelled without notice so I wouldn't want to commit to putting rides out there for the calendar until I've proven to others that I have changed my ways.

My first attempt failed miserably but hopefully the next one won't be & will be the first in many that I will be able to lead this season.

Well my WI adventure is coming to an end sometime soon & I'm looking to make a move back to the Twin Cities.  I left a position with the Mahtomedi Fire Dept to go to Madison WI and am looking to get back to that area.  I have some places in mind and the search continues but I may have a need for a roommate or two.

It would be starting some time in the next six months and so far it's looking like $500-750 each depending on the place, utilities, & amenities.  I need to be within 7 min of the Fire Station on Stillwater Road so likely will not be interested in places outside that range but won't rule anything out just yet.  So post up anything you think may work.

As I mentioned the places I've looked at in the past would be around $500-750 per month per person but I am open to suggestion as long as it's within that area. I also wouldn't mind a place that is dog friendly if possible. I don't have one yet but plan to get one.

So if you or someone you know is interested please get a hold of me.  I am flexible somewhat on the time frame but do have a defined window in which the Army will pay to move me home.  Hopefully something will work out soon and I can get back into the Cities and start making more rides/events in general & reconnect with a lot of you out there.  Contact info is below if you need it.

So now that the bikes are out & the season is in full swing it's a great time to ensure you have a spare key in the event one is lost.

Seems this early part of the season our business picks up for key copies since people are not always in the mindset yet of keeping close track of their key & they may go missing.
Then they try to dig out the spare they could have sworn they have only to find it is missing or worse yet, that the spare key AND the key code are both gone!!

Don't let yourself get into that predicament...locate that spare key and/or the key code.  If you don't have one or the other (or worse yet neither of them) we can help!!
Mention you heard about us from the ZG forum & you'll get ZG pricing.  Don't forget we also specialize in residential/commercial lock work of almost any sort you can think of.

Thanks for looking & for considering us!!

Thought I would bump this to say remember to keep your key in someplace safe over the off season.

Also, If you don't have an extra copy of your key or don't have the all important key code we would love to help you out.

That way it would ensure you are not left without a way to start your ride in the spring.

My pass was approved so will be in the Twin Cities the next four days.
I'd like to do a Frontier Ride Saturday morning if anyone is interested.

If I get enough people that are interested I'll start a new thread.
Or feel free to text/call since it's only a couple days away.

Just to clarify something brought to my attention.  The info in my last post was only a partial list of some of the maintenance that has been done on the bike.  It does not represent a full list of what has been done.  Oil changes are a great example.

The ones listed were just some of those done at that shop.  It does not reflect the ones I did on my own or another shop did.  The majority of the oil changes were done every 3k miles.  There may have been a couple done over 3k as well as some done earlier than 3k.

I hope that clears up any confusion anyone may have had.
