Be advised that Cty 7 suffered some damage in the area around Welch due to flooding from yesterday's rains. It sounds like the road is still open but closed to 1 lane in some areas.

I'm with vander on this one. 7 is one of those roads that would be fun if it wasn't so know and popular. Riding through there you just feel bad for the people living there that have to deal with bikes flying through there on a daily basis.. My 2 pence

On the topic of annoyed locals, many in Afton are complaining of loud Harleys and too fast motorcycles and cars on twisty roads. There has been additional enforcement on Stagecoach (21) as well as some of our other roads. It isn't intense patrolling but enough to think about.
Be careful with the sand and gravel after the heavy rains. Some roads are more challenging than usual.

Cty 7 is washed out, a whole section was washed away. Reports are that it will be about a week until its open again.
-
Did that happen last night? I went through there yesterday morning and it was open, although there was clearly damage to the foundation of the roadway in some spots they had marked off. It wouldn't take much more water to collapse the whole road.
-
Never mind, it was on the news tonight (and confirmed it washed out overnight.) Cty 19 was also crumbling from soaked foundation as well.
-
was 19 still under construction ?? about two weeks ago they chewed the blacktop off it from 7-6 and probably to 61.
well another line rolling through now, pounding them more. someone find the white flag. enough hard rain already, lol
-
I don't think they did anything more than patch areas of 19. But now they will have to rebuild some of it's foundation.

I checked out Cty 7 this morning. The signs said road closed but there is a one lane gravel path through a 100' section of collapsed roadway. Also, highway 19 is very packed gravel and can easily be traveled at 65 per.

we came down 61 to 19 to 6. From 61 to 6, the road was passable.

Thanks for the update Chris.
