If any posts degrade further to physical threats of violence, I will report it immediately to the police.
That is a guarantee!

The few of you who are insistent on turning this site into a sideshow for poking fun and bullying others should be ashamed.
Bring that trash to the other boards!!
And if I do not personally know you, then your anonymity is intact as well.  The insults and jeers are just as cowardly as anything communicated online.   Perhaps some time in anger management counseling is in order rather than badgering an unknown contributor of a message board.

What posts threaten you with physical violence even remotely?

You know it would be so easy for you to clear this all up..........But of course you won't-you like to hide in the dark corner and throw a hissy fit and make accusations.

Hey if you I did something you think the police should be involved in--I will pm you my full name and address...send them on over I am sure they would love to have a chance to come shoot the shit...

So YUL--it is your contention then that nobody has any accountability on a forum...

"A message board is a simulation of conversation in which personal accountability is removed allowing participants to be reckless with accusations and potentially offend others with no fear of retribution."

I think communication via verbal or text or email or yes...a forum is still communication and you are accountable for your actions....

Cage will take away cornering clearance. Plus they may well not make one for your bike. And that doesn't guarantee that you wont wreck stuff anyways----I'd run the plastics you have and replace them IF you ever need to--keep an eye on egay or some of the national forums and pick up pieces here and there if you really feel strongly about having a second set laying around in wait.

I guess I am with CBReater, it looks like you came down on him.
But I also think it is a RACETRACK and passing and going fast is what it is for. So despite maybe a "close" pass, that guy likely could have given you more room...but you certainly could have held an outside line as well (you were clearly coming down to the apex) With that track being so wide and this is afterall "just" a trackday. no trophy, no points no hoopla--I would have stayed on the throttle on the straight and made the pass going into 1 (based solely on what the video can represent) but I also raced forever and still pass as soon as I can, not when its convenient (but I also think that would have been the better choice)
I couldn't help notice you guys lap times....

I did laugh at the 1198 guys aero brake attempt-he has what appeared about 10' of track he could have moved over and simply rolled off some? But I suppose he didn't see it (bike coming across his planned line) soon enough and by the time he reacted he felt braking was the best choice-even though it appears to have straightened his line some...,,,In any case you both went unscathed and either or both of you could have made simple changes once the pass was already in progress or before-that would have eliminated even a close call, let alone actual contact.

But it is a racetrack, I know when I have been-I always expect to pass and be passed and sometimes touch.
I think the hope/expectation is that since it is "only" a trackday people will be more cautious and error on the side of safety rather than the side of "this guy is holding me up and I want by" (especially on the heels of so many crashes there that weekend already)

LOL...

I did not include any language to suggest I wanted to violate your virtue. PLus I have no desire to see any naked pictures of you.

It is however very nice of you to come visit and let some know it is not you as YUL.

General Banter / Re: What's your favorite road of SW Wisconsin?
« on: November 14, 2011, 03:09:56 PM »
There are tooooooo many to list. That is why I try to incorporate as many of them as I can squeeze into a full days riding every weekend. It likely is also why my rides always seem to be 500+ miles and 10-12 hours long.

^^^"but why try to straighten out twisty public roads, ...."^^^

exactly-the tighter the turn and the more challenging it is, isn't that the point !   atleast it is for me.

Straighteneing them out, you may as well just stay in MN on the big sweepers or go to the drag strip.

lol wut

This second video, well we rode through this turn yesterday on our way back. That tar stripe you hit, it is completely in the oncoming traffic lane (probably where the inside tire would normally travel). So I think you had problems before running into that tar stripe, that you were already up into the oncoming traffic lane.

Not to beat a dead horse....

learned this video was shot with a gopro. people with them have an idea of distances and how deceiving these are. you can be a length or two back and look like its 10 lengths. found that interesting.

This is so true. So for anyone thinking they look like more than enough following distances, they are surely under 50' and likely under 25' for part of it
I also noticed looking at the guages, you can see the reflection of him still on the bike til pretty much impact....I was told he was off the bike well before that...hmmm

Regardless when he "went off" the bike--following distances were too close, etc.............
