General Banter / Re: Texting Question

my wife, "Didn't you see my text?!"
me, "Yeah, didn't you receive my reply???"
I then show her that it shows up on my phone as sent but never arrives on her phone

Yep ATT

I wonder if the Mac iMessage program some how screws things up because entire parts of conversations don't show up on the laptop. For example it doesn't show any of our texts since 8/26

If you want to keep the gnats out of your face when stopped use a drop of vanilla extract between the eye & ear.  Old mountain man trick, and it works.  Just not for mosquitoes.
Now I know why I have an unexplained craving for cookies when on MNMSTA rides...

Drunk pilots happen but it's extremely rare.

Is that because it is hard to operate your laptop when drinking?  :P ;D http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/17/us/17pilot.html?_r=0   Looking forward to the story.   I know a local pilot who was a drinker and they just reassigned him to the simulator.

Hmmm...  Would I rather my pilot have that vision problem or just the usual hangover from rum 'n Coke?

PS  Hwy 8 by Cannon Falls also has new pavement with fantastic grip.  I ran it twice yesterday.

Where's this year's picture of all you taking the same scenery shot?   Or I'll settle for a picture of that fresh pavement.

I took a leisurely ride mid day - around 150 miles of suspension tuning.

Evaporative cooling vest, wet bandana, drinking plenty of water while riding, and stoping in Air Conditioned gas stations for Gatorade all made for a non-eventful day.

The biggest aha, was every time I'd climb out of a small valley I'd hit a wall of heat at least 10 degrees warmer than the floor of the valley.

Welcome!  Have you tried looking in the Routes section?   Get a bike and some miles under your belt and then join one of the shorter rides with this group to see if you like riding with some of us.  If you want to improve your cornering, get around 1,000 miles under your belt and then sign up for a local riding school at DCTC - there are two good ones I can think of, RCP and ZARS.

It is a good time to buy a bike, some prices are already dropping to winter levels - I wasted some time on CL today and wanted 3 different bikes I saw - all around 2K.

I forgot to mention the Motoport has thigh and chest protectors standard where the aerostich does not.  You can have coccyx and hip sewn in with the motoport.   I much prefer the size and coverage of the motoport protectors.

You are welcome to take a look at both side to side.
