Okay so I've just started planning my first IBA ride and was hoping to get a few tips. I've been working on maitnence and finally have time to go through my bike, so bout all that's left is sport touring tires to replace my Dunlop qualifiers.. Gonna miss the traction but getting only a few thousand miles out. Of a set just isn't worth it. :( my route right now goes from fridley to Virginia mn, then to bemidji then onto grandforks ND. From there I'll
Going south to Sioux falls then Albert Lea back home to fridley. I know it's a long ride but with good prep easily possible, just wanted to know whAt you guys thought :)

Well ya I guess with it being a lighter single cylinder vs two cylinder.. Pretty smart thinking on behalf of Honda, too bad that most people who are just getting into riding are smart enough to know that you shouldn't learn to ride on something you are still making payments on and will still be Paying for sometime here..Sure as hell beats riding this around town then
These huge fjrs and concours 14s :)

Oh okay so if this is a single cylinder fuel injected bike I wonder how it does in terms of performance compared to the ninjas carb'd two cylinder engine, do think it earns the style points over the kawi

That's a pretty sweet looking bike! Would be nice "pretty" bike for my girlfriend; one that I may just have to steal to rip around from
Time to time :p this may be a stupid question but are the new ninja 250s fuel injected or carburated?*

Like how it said in the comments, this helmet can be used to hold approximately one weeks worth of oil that a Harley leaks haha

I'm a very sarcastic person and tend to kid around with friends. Sorry I'll be more serious from now on so no ones offended by anymore of my stupid comments.. Lol
Think this time of the year leaves and just simply how cold it is out is about as dangerous as anything. When your riding at freezing temperatures and your concentrating on the cold not the riding things get real iffy not to mention cold tires  :( guess it's getting pretty close to that time of the year when the bike goes in the garage and the closest you can get to riding again is riding the sportbike machine game at chucky cheeses ;)

Horns will do the trick......

Horns do nothing but make them more freaked out.  You might scare ones right in front but you also might cause others to run into your line.

They hate loud noises so by hitting the horn when there's deer in the ditch or up ahead they usually run off.. However if
You got a whole pack of deer running right  in front of you there's no a whole lot you can do but brake and  pray to god that you miss em

Bike Help / 20 valve adjustment from hell
« on: November 05, 2010, 05:07:07 PM »
Okay so I don't know how much money I've spent adjusting valves every so often an I'm not quite confident enough to tear it apart myself so I was hoping to pay someone to help me do it so I don't have to blow more money at the mechanic :) The job is on a 95 fzr 1000 that has 20 valves so it will take a while to complete but hey as long as I'm not spending more than I would at the shop I'm satisfied

Haha sounds good, well I have a ram mount I'm using for my tpx radar detector right now and I just have the gps in a tank bag using a cigarette lighter adapter to give it power. It's pretty tight for space on the dash but this winter I'll work on some other handlebar mount possibly.. What's your setup?
