I don't think that will happen. I've given up my skis too due to balance issues. Got a stationary bike to make up for lack of that. The Fut's engine is almost out for 50k R&R so no lack of activity. :-*

Update! The Futura is all apart and here is the cruddy valve. Itis strange that none of the other intakes are dirty but I'm changing all 8 stem seals while I'm in there. The real question is whether I'll get the bike together B4 next Winter! GJ :o

Couple of pictures while you are at it.  Most of us are able to only change the oil and filter.  Your deep dive into things are always interesting.....and admirable.  Gene

"IT'S ALIVE!!" After much fiddling & head banging got the Aprilia's front cylinder to fire up so its a twin again. Deep digging on the Aprilia web site turned up a fellow who'd had the same issue. Turns out the manual lied! He was using a Haynes and my cd must be the same. It is easy to get the front cams 360 degrees out(big bang motor) according to guru at AF1 in Texas-he's done it twice in 20 yrs ;). On top of that the manual says turn engine 300 degrees from rear cylinder firing point and set front cams-WRONG!! should be 420 degrees. ::). The bottom line is that I've become much more intimate w the Futura and appreciate it all the more. GJ ;)
