Another pole and no one got by her throughout the race. She's awesome!!

  Anna Carasco took the pole and was never bested winning by a 14 second gap. Her Countrywoman Maria Herrera qualified 16th but fought through 11 tough laps to take 7th place. Quite a day for the ladies!

  Spring is here, only a few more weeks before some tentative riding. 

 If any of you were budding motor-heads in the 60s I believe you'd remember Ted. His obituary is in today's paper but it doesn't mention the location of his little shop's location. It was right across Lake Street from Dulono's. Remember A Porky's at each end and dozens of lights to drag from in between. He was a true Icon of early Minnesota Motor Sports.

  Last week's full moon brought about quite a change in my garage. I swapped my Futura for a Ninja 300. I've had doubts recently about being able to handle it much longer(like pick it up!). There were no mechanical issues other than the worry of losing another rear wheel bearing which was replaced at 25-35k?(don't remember). It cost me $140 back then but the price has more than tripled. I'll miss the wonderfully comfortable bike but I traded one 15yo w 55k for a 2015 w under 8k on it. Had it out on my 100mi North route yesterday and love it. The GSXR shock I bought for the ex250 is installed and a 1 up front sprocket ordered. I'll be doing front suspension upgrades and more comfy padding for my bony arse. Not sure how this will affect the Hill Country rides but The 300 or SV are certainly usable.

 Season is winding down. Having thoughts of a Fall color ride but not sure if I'm up to doing another day ride.

  One of the all time greats died yesterday in a Quad accident.
