Took the Fut out for a test flight to Hanover(did the mile of gravel both ways )nothing fell off or leaked out. Should be good for May Hill Country Ride!

 That's absolutely correct! The young folks can't text & ride!!

 "IT'S ALIVE!!" After much fiddling & head banging got the Aprilia's front cylinder to fire up so its a twin again. Deep digging on the Aprilia web site turned up a fellow who'd had the same issue. Turns out the manual lied! He was using a Haynes and my cd must be the same. It is easy to get the front cams 360 degrees out(big bang motor) according to guru at AF1 in Texas-he's done it twice in 20 yrs . On top of that the manual says turn engine 300 degrees from rear cylinder firing point and set front cams-WRONG!! should be 420 degrees. . The bottom line is that I've become much more intimate w the Futura and appreciate it all the more. GJ

 The Web is great! Someone on the Aprilia Forum discovered that the vacuum line drawing in the shop manual was wrong! Now let's see if I can find that missing coolant hose.

 Vander had one,I helped him do a valve clearance check on it. I was impressed by its looks & build but have no riding experience.GJ

  I think they like the Aprilia v twins are a lot less $ intensive in maintainance costs.

 Noon news said 2 bikes,triple digits,deceased helmetless(called experienced racer??),other bike didn't stop. Me thinks "Squid"-High speed in the dark!! "THE STREET GIVETH & THE STREET TAKETH AWAY!"
