Kawasaki racer Andrea Antonelli was fatally injured during the Supersport race of the Moscow WSBK round. (sorry I initially thought it was 2nd Superbike heat)
Well said Jam. "I" want "MY" rides to be fun for others so that they will enjoy the experience and maybe come along again. Although I'm the fastest rider in the known Universe and my bike has no equal "I" try to keep those truths to myself.GJ
Anyone remember Cyclesport on W.7th in St.Paul? That was Jack Schalley's place(founder of CRA)-He used to show racing movies in the winter. Also for real old times the Mn Historical Society site has pix of Karl's when it was a Hogly shop on 4th Av & Franklin(where 35W is now). Later when they sold tons of Euro bikes and the early Japanese stuff I used to bicycle there from St.Louis Park to hang out when I was a teen.GJ
For anyone interested in a small shop try Tommy at the CYCLESHOP in Anoka. He's an old(not as old as me!) CRA buddy who's been in the business for many years. He does everything from tire & service to rebuilds. He's especially good w carbs and stocks a large amount of bits for Jap stuff back to the 70s. There's no Latte served and he'll tell it like it is. What Ray hinted at (ERGOS) is extremely important. What % of riders don't fit their bike? My Futura fits me so well that I modded my '81 GS1100 & GL650 to get the peg,bar,seat relationship as close as possible. How many folks just try sitting in the showrrom and choose their ride that way? "Hey this Cruiser fits me just like my barcalounger"! Put your B'lounger on yer trailer and head for Sturgis! (Cabin fevered rants of an 'OLD FART'!). GJ
