General Banter / Re: Truck Ramp
« on: December 07, 2012, 07:22:44 PM »
If I understand, you are looking for an inexpensive ramp to load a new model Connie?  I'm not sure I would trust myself to load something that heavy (688 lbs curb weight), let alone trust an inexpensive ramp to hold up to that sort of load.  I wouldn't use any folding ramp for this bike but that's just me.
I agree, with that weight + you (guessing your a guy so 200+), thats almost 900LBS so you will need to look at something that can do 1K LBS or more, and that will cost $.
Can I ask why not get a little trailer?

Would be nice if they provide a GPS version of the routes - this is the 21st century; right idea, wrong execution.
They do, I got the Colorado one last year they put the GPS on the the maps. I think they are well worth the money.

Steve, I am glad you stopped dating your cousin, now if we could get you to stop dating you're sister ;)

Thank you all!  That southern route only adds 4 hours :)  but alas, we're all set to take the minivan via denver/vegas.  So it looks like I need to get an Out West ride scheduled for next summer :)  Why is it so hard to make the time for the best things in life?  :/

a.s.

Drive safe.

Sorry for your loss.
I would not recommend riding out there this time of year, they are skiing in the mountains already.

More from Whiney McCrybaby: the guy just does not know when to keep him mouth shut.

He must have forgot the 3years he did nothing but complain about the bike and the development of it. Stoner always has been a jack ass and always will be.

what we do on trips is pick up some Octane boast, so that if if have had a stretch where you can only find the low octane, we will through that in. The other thing we do is have some fuel cans that we will fill with high octane fuel and mix that in with the low octane. I don't think that if your bike "requires" high octane and once in a while you put what ever octane in it (even with ethanol), it will hurt it, just put the damn gas in and go ride.

low octane > then pushing

I would have loved to see Rossi, win a Championship on a Duc, that would have been awesome.

Rough weekend for Spies.  That's the kind of thing I wouldn't be surprised to see on a CRT bike but on a factory Yamaha?
He has had a hard time since coming to the Factory Team, I think that's why he did not get a contract, on the interviews he was saying that he was not disappointing with his time in MotoGP, he also said he had things to think about. Lots of Rumors around him right now.

Interesting question, it has been this way for years, John Hopkins comes to mind. I think Brent is on to it, like Jared said you here about the wild cards talking about having all kinds of issues with the lean angles the breaks and suspension.
