Title: Bike pulling
Post by: jfoo on May 27, 2010, 09:55:17 PM
The new bike is pulling slightly to the left (tested by riding with no hands to make sure it wasn't my overly muscled right arm).

It seems to pull more when Ann is with me, more weight on the rear wheel.

What causes this? Is the rear wheel perhaps misaligned?

I'd take it back to Leo's, but I hate to do that if it is something easy.

Thanks

Hmmm. Bikes shouldn't pull.

Tweaked handlebar, tweaked fork leg, maybe a misaligned rear wheel has it dogtracking a bit.

Does it pull all the time, under braking, or under acceleration?

Low tire pressure on a crowned surface might also generate this perception.

Tire pressures? Funkadelic stock dual purpose tires?

Misaligned rear wheel. The chain had the proper sag, but the adjustment wasn't even.

Thanks
