General Banter / Multiple bikes
« on: April 05, 2017, 07:44:19 AM »
I don't know how folks with multiple bikes of different classes do it. After just 8 months with 2 bikes I'm facing a dilemma. While riding my sportbike I never have a feeling of "I wish I was on my sport-touring bike", yet while I enjoy my Sprint ST I do on occasion get a feeling of "I wish I was on my CBR".

General Banter / Favorite roads
« on: March 18, 2017, 02:08:04 PM »
In an interest in livening things up around here, I will start a thread about favorite roads. Tell us somethings about the road. Why you like it, what makes it great for you.

I will start with a lesser known road in Arkansas. HWY 14 runs between Omaha (Ar) and Mountain View and is one of my favorites in Arkansas. It is a state highway, so posted speeds are 55. As many of you know, Arkansas does not use gravel on it's shoulders so corners rarely if ever have any gravel. HWY 14 covers some ground and is a great, fun choice getting across the state.
As throughout most of Arkansas, police presence in rural areas is almost negligible. No further comment needed.  :)
Super grippy pavement as well.

More later.

Bike Help / Re: Repacking Mufflers?
« on: January 16, 2017, 09:28:17 PM »
I've ridden 3 mufflers to 40k each and didn't repack one. They may have needed to, but I never noticed an issue with power or noise.

The picture of you and Mark (Tumbler) at the Veterans Day dinner attracted a whole lot of attention on Facebook. As you're not on FB, I thought I'd paste the response thread here:

As we are now well into the 2nd half of the riding season, it would be terrific if more people would step up and organize rides. Just a thought.  :)    Speak with Ray if you have questions.
