7 of the last 9 posts in the FB forum for this group are people selling something. Put a fork in it, it's over.
-
It has been way too quiet here.
What is this Facebook of which you speak? :)
-
Search "Mn-Msta" on FB, you'll find the group and learn that it's a "closed" group. Someone needs to invite you. Are you on FB?
-
I'm not, being insufficiently social to be on social media.
But this explains why when I searched and found the Facebook page the few things I saw were ancient. :)
-
I did not know anything about a Facebook page either. May explain why forums are pretty inactive these days.
-
Farce book sucks!!! Stay on this forum.

With no disrespect to a 'forum' website, the FB format for groups is much more user friendly and easier to communicate and plan events. Let FB do all the website maintenance and you take advantage of it. Plus you can actually see people's real names (if they choose). Almost all forums are moving that way. The downside is it is harder to search for things but there is a files section where things can be uploaded for FB groups like mn-msta.

Facebook killed the TA forum and it is having a negative impact on ZG and MSTA. Some of us, including me are not on Facebook. For those looking for rides be sure and check Here because you won't find my rides or Bart's rides posted on Facebook.
-
For me the question is what will be the "go to" for the MSTA? Personally I would prefer the forum but I am old... ;).
I am seeing a trend toward FB. At the present time it seems both are being used. Having two places to check is a step backwards IMHO.
Can the powers that be enlighten me (us)?

FB events don't really work for me. I would rather it stay on the forum.
-
I don't have a FB account, so if it's on FB, I don't know about it. :'(
-
It appears a number of us are in this position.
But, unfortunately, it appears both the forum and the Facebook page are very slow currently.
-
Can never have too many friends to ride with. I post rides and events on the forum and FB. They're just communications mediums....

TK, the forum slowed down long before FB was even a gleam in Zuckerberg's eye. The old MN-Sportbike site logged thousands of posts a week in the early days. The FB isn't any more active than this forum. Just keep reminding yourself when a "forum" was a monthly newsletter printed on some crappy word processor. :)
