^ Ray when I got to following behind you when you led towards the end of the Tri-State Boogie you made going "pretty dang quick" look pretty effortlessly actually.  For myself skill level wise, I would put myself somewhere in the middle with 13 years of riding experience, but being able to follow your lines made for a safer "spirited" pace through CR E and some of those other roads that were completely new to me at the time.

Tony sorry to hear.  A broken femur sounds horrible to me having broken my radius and ulna in half a few years back, but your body will heal!  All I've ever heard and known is that Tony is a great rider - there's a lot of risks in riding and crap happens to the best of us.  With MN averaging multiple motorcycle deaths per week during the summer - remember how much worse any of the accidents of MSTA members could have been.

Greg, thanks for the update and for sticking with Tony after the accident - that's more than once you've done that.

Fully loaded with factory rear top case and ABS.  43k miles, heated grips, adjustable windscreen, rear hard bags, Spencerized seats.  145hp stock.  39-46mpg.  Very comfortable but also a capable sporting mount.  $5400 but open to offers.  Bike has full muzzy exhaust system and PC3 but I plan on putting it back to stock for sale as those items sell readily by themselves online.  If you're interested in it, we can discuss.

New OEM brake pads
New rear tire
Fresh DOT4 in all brake and clutch lines
Valve adjustment done this spring - not due for another 22k miles

This isn't really the right area to post this question on but I'll help you out.  This area is for established or already designed routes to be posted.

You'll need a GPS that is enabled to accept routes, not just favorites.  You design the route via a number of software which yours truly is still figuring out to my liking.  Then you need some software that can connect to your GPS, which you use to upload your map and then send to the GPS.  Most route files are .GPX files.

Google map files are KML files.  There are a number of free downloads that will convert KML to GPX.  Be aware that most google map files need to be converted down via other programs like GPSBabel, because the google files contain way too many information points/waypoints and your GPS will not accept it.

Good luck and have fun!!  There's a number of great day trips already in GPX format for you to practice uploading right here in this forum.  Many thanks to those who designed them, great rides.

Right now I have briefly played with Microsoft street and trip with their free trial, and I will probably go with it.  It's user friendly and only $25.

The GPS itself has been great with routes.

Glad both of you are ok!  Two personal friends of mine have hit deer.  One of them hit a 220# buck and he killed it but also totaled his bike and went flying, luckily he was not hit or seriously injured.  The other hit a fawn with his Guzzi and he ripped through it and also stayed upright, but it messed up his bike as well.

However, you maintained control with a passenger behind you.  Great job is all I can say.

I've been on a couple good long rides into WI.  Did the FJR CFO in La Crosse in June too was a blast.  Can't wait to see that new bike of yours sometime.

Good Stuff.  I believe it and I vote.  People seem to be getting a bit more serious into supporting candidates who will stand firm on the arguments that they ran on.

I just found out about your business and site tonight, damn.  My Contis come in on Monday.

SSB is actually only 5 minutes from me.  I was more so offering it up to the guy who does his own tires in his garage who might want to recoup some money from that tire changer he splurged on (dang me and my 1 car garage).  I will not try to talk down anyone who offers reasonable prices at their shop of business on something like tire mounting.

thanks Mark.  Sounds like there are a couple good tire changing pros on this forum that I can support.
