By far I don't see 30 has very far. For walking yes but for snowmobiling far is more like 60 to 100 miles in. For a snowmobile 30 miles is like 60 minutes of ridding. Skiers can go on our trails and I do see them but there are locations that I have seen that I would have thought a skier would have made the trip to take in the view and there are no tracks that they have ever been there. I think some of you don't think we ever stop but this is not true. We stop all the time to take in the view and the sound. I know that you don't have to go very deep into the woods to do this but this is something I always remember. Dave and I just bought brand new sleds that neither one of us have ever owned. We are up in the Arrowhead and we go out at midnight to ride the sleds for the first time. We go straight into it for more than 2 hours when we decide to stop to pee. It is dark and cloudy. We get off our machines and shut them off. The lights stay on for a time and then go off. We walk some distance from the sleds and go. And then the lights go out. It is so dark out that we can not see each other or are sleds. It must of took us 5 minute before we walk into them. Then to add to this because this was our first time on the things we didn't know where the start bottons were on the handle bars to get them started. We sure were laughing about this and we still do.

You got to get a snowmobile. If you want to get out in the woods were it is really quiet. I have seen places that nobody as seen on foot. Not that they couldn't, it would take days of walking to get there. Also you can get a good work out ridding a sled.
Snowmobiling it's not what it use to be, it's much better.

Saw your bike today. It looks pretty good a little ruff around the edges but in good shape. You have the right guy fixing it up for you. Your going to have a blast on that thing. Can't wait to see you ride it.

I thought you bought a dual sport bike. You bought an enduro bike. A real dirt bike. Way to go. I'll go ridding with you anytime with that bike. Just go buy a plate for it and tell them you need it for insurance. I have one on my bike. Get a trail sticker at the same time.

I have ridden out West and never carried any of that stuff. I did have a tool belt to do some repair like a flat or something. Only on one ride that was 150 miles between anything I did pack gas. I found that all that stuff just drags you down.

I think you get full benefits the same day. Does anybody remember when they use to give you a bus ticket back to were you came from.

I glad to see that you are findly going off road. Should be a nice bike for you. But for me when you go off road with anything there is only one type of motor. TWO STROKE BABY. You seen my bike a KTM 200 EXC. 198 pounds wet and 50hp. Every time I let some one ride it that has a 4 stroke they buy a 2 stoke right after. Have a nice dirty ride. I myself will never be with out a dirt bike.

I thought I was the only one to practice these things. I would go to parking lots and do this. I was doing this at two different track days and that why I got two of the black flags. I was told I was scaring every one. I was doing wheelies also but they did like that I was locking up the front tire or throwing the bike sideways coming into the corners.
As far as insurance goes liability cost about $90 a year for most anything. I buy all of my bike cash also and my racing was the same way. But I buy full coverage because over the years I have had two bikes stolen and it was nice to have them replace. Also my last series crash that almost did me in it was nice to have the bike repaired. I have a lot of bike and the insurance only cost me about $1000 for all of them so it its cheap.

I didn't know bikers read books. I thought we only read magazines.
