I think that would be pretty cool, and very insightful. Can't though, will be out of town that weekend.

This post really shows how heated this subject can get. I agree totally that driver/motorcycle training is not good enough. I blew through mine no problem. It wasn't until I started riding with others that knew what they were doing, before I became a better rider. When I was a teenager, my mom took me out to a parking lot every day and made me log so many hours before I even got to begin the drivers training. I believe it helped make me a better driver because of it.
Until the law can find a better way of educating people, it's up to us to show new people how to be better riders/drivers. New laws only make people find new ways to get around them. You tell a toddler he can't do something, he'll just do it when your not looking. But if you make him understand why not, he'll be more likely to listen. 19

A bird flew into my helmet once, it felt like somebody threw a rock at me. Good thing I was on a straightaway. My biggest fear is small animals, squirrels ect. To hit one on a corner, cause your tire to skip into the air just enough to make you loose control.

I haven't had many run-ins with LEO's, but it always surprises me how many people drink and ride, especialy at big ralleys. It's hard enogh to stay focused in traffic and at speed. I can't imagine how people bar hop on their bikes.

I was recommended through friends, and I agree, the other groups are great for big events and gatherings, but I came here to ride. It's nice to be a part of a close nit group, not just a number.

Got my bike back and the mad scientist did a kick-ass job. Quality work, I didn't think it would turn out as good as it did. My hats off to Lloyd!

Not yet, Lloyd still has it in his shop, but I should be getting it back in a couple weeks now.

My name is Andy Portugal, I've been riding for 4 seasons now. I'm on a couple other forums as well. I was recomended to this one by Lloyd Rivers. I've ridden with him and Ray on many rides. I have an 04 R1 that I've been riding for the last 4 years. It is my first street bike, but I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 7. I'm looking foward to going on some great rides and meeting new people this summer.
