For your R1 the standard. Your interceptor because of more weight the GT. I think that tire has another ply in it.

Michelin Pilot Road 4. The best there is. Bridgestone S23 are really good as well. And Avon Strom 3D-XM.
All 3 of these are top of the line. I have used them all. Absolutely the best in the rain and long life. And a good twisty tire as well. 5,000+ miles.

Maybe you should watch the last 2 laps again. Drafting was on the last turn to the finish line. Not the whole lap.

Brutger. Did I say that right. Spell check says no. We had a great day. I haven't had that much fun on a track in some time.
Yes Bagels that was a great pass. Just the way I do it. I couldn't see you but I could hear you right there. We had to pass a lot of bikes right there. Just like when I passed you. There was so many bikes to pass that I thought was I was going to have to go off track because we were five wide.
I was just thinking. Is it ok to do those 2" wheelies or can you get a black flag for that too.

Yea I got passed. And it was a good one. But you know it bothered me the rest of the day and into the next. Why did this happen. It wasn't until we were all at Rays watching the MotoGP race. At the end of the race Jorge was explaining why he lost. And it was all starting to make sense to me. And when I got home I check out my bike. I was running soft front and a hard rear. It was cool out and the track temp was a little cool.
The rear tire valve stem cap was missing. This was causing the tire to bounce a little. This in turn over heated the hard tire in the middle and it was slipping. The thing is I thought the pace was slow. I should have been able to stay in front. It was just bad luck that that valve cap was missing. I don't know but maybe when I wasn't looking someone took it off.

Did you have to use the turbo?
He had to use everything he had. You should have known.

Do what your bike says on the swing arm. 41-42. Maximum load and high speed. Your tire is melting from to much stress or heat.

Everything Rays said. I would go though Denver and stay South. I have made this trip many times in mid May. I can tell you that most 2 lane roads are still closed by the 1st of June. I would take the interstate all the way out and just get there in time for your class. Put your riding days on the return trip.
I can tell you that in June one year the road to Bozeman just opened up the day before. I was so cold that day that I rode up to a house and knocked on the door and asked if I could stand in their doorway to warm up. They were really nice. They even made me hot chocolate and I was on my way.
Good luck and have fun.

I was a Honda St on Saturday. I took off work early and loaded up the R1 and took it to the dealer for that all brand new tranny. They are going to put a new air filter in it. So it is going to be really fast now. It will kick Gixxer 750 ass if you know what I mean. LOL.
