Changing of the guard is always hard to adjust to, especially when it's Ray. Ray has done a lot for this crew and I for one will miss him keeping us informed of things going on in MN-MSTA.
Face book has done more to slow this sight down than anything else. I for one will be gone if face book takes over, not interested in peoples day to day goings on. So if you're using face book to organize a ride then I won't be invited. This sight is pointed directly at what we do as a group and I check it most every day. As for MSTA, I've tried to connect with it from time to time with little to no response. As some of you already know, there's a core group there also, and most of us are not part of it. I pay my dues mostly to get the star review, so the MN group IS my crew and have gained some good friends because of it.

Long live the MN in msta

I don't quite understand what has happened here, it might just be a phase or it could be most people are using face book to communicate.
I'm not a face book person and I like to keep it more private as to what this group is doing.
I also feel that some of the key players on this forum have backed out a bit. They will be hard shoes to fill and as it seems they will be missed.

Safety and Riding Tips / Re: Observations....

Over the years I have learned to be more tolerant of other drivers. Most of us make mistakes while driving from time to time, drunk driving and doing something deliberate is beyond a mistake. What do you think most of the population is saying about the way we ride our bikes, and we choose to ride this way. I'm guessing that most of the time when a cop pulls us over it's because someone has called us in, just be thank full that more don't drop a dime on us. Most of us consider ourselves safe and talented riders, a non rider would not see it that way. I try to give everyone I can a break when they make driving mistakes.

This is just my way of looking at it, doesn't mean it's the way you have to see it. :)
