Post by: Tad on March 17, 2014, 12:34:54 PM
Looks like this forum has been quiet for a while so Ill put a thread in.
Just wanted to say hi to all, hopefully meet up sometime if it ever stops snowing.
Located down in Lakeville and commuite to work 100 mile round trip daily, my daily ride is an 06 R1, but I am finishing up a 96 900SP.
Ray turned me on to this forum.
Thanks
Tad

Welcome Tad, just a touch north of you...in Apple Valley.  Agree, the snow needs to be gone so the rain can wash the salt and sand off, hope to meet you on a ride.

Welcome Tad, hope to see ya at Spring Green. Ray's the man around here, he puts together lots of stuff for us to do. For me I didn't start riding for real till I met these guys. 8)

Welcome,  from Farmington here,  looking forward to a great year of riding.
100 miles?  Damn!!  Got lucky at this place,  under 3.5 miles each way for mine to the shop.

Some great guys and skilled riders here, I have learned tons from them!!

We don't post much here on this forum but we have a lot of organized rides. Watch for ride posts when the weather improves. Join the ride when you can. Rides can happen any day of the week.

Welcome, and see you on a twisty road sooner or later.

Thanks for the note everyone, I will definitaly have to hit a ride this spring so I can put some faces with names.
Yeah the 100 a day is nice in riding season, in winter it kills me, but its a job.
In the last 20 years I have somewhere well over 100k on 2 wheels, mostly on ducks, but that was taking off almost 5 years while living in seattle.
So the 100 a day really racks them up quick.

Welcome to the forum Tad. How is the 900SS/SP coming? The other way to put faces to names is to come to one of the MotoGP or WSBK watching parties. Most of the rides cover too many miles for there to be much time to socialize.

The SP is moving along, in fall I took it apart and carried it down into the basement to work on all winter, good thing I did or I never would have gotten anywhere with our weather. Its all cleaned and fixed, valves and belts are done. When I get back from spring break Ill bring all of the pieces back up to the garage and start bolting it back together. I have a line on a 93 superlight that needs some love, so hopefully that will be the next project, might need to sell the R1 first.
Ill have to keep an eye out for SBK/GP viewing. I was happy to see Vale in 2nd this weekend.
