Rumor has it they are getting a new one? I seam to remember someone mentioning that.

well we did have a picnic table ambassador working hard on it, instead of a big S on his chest, he would have a V. lol not sure if the last nudge got rid of it, or new ones are on the way. the gal working didn't recall seeing one all year. i think i recall sitting on it this year, but hell I'm getting old and forgetful.

IncidentDescription:    VEHICLE WAS WESTBOUND WHEN DRIVER THOUGHT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE BACK TIRE. WHEN HE TURNED TO LOOK HE LOST CONTROL, RAN OFF THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT AND ROLLED. DRIVER WAS EJECTED.

it just struck me a little comical, not slowing down and stopping to look. i would have to do that, cause i know I'm not that talented. lol

I checked out Cty 7 this morning.  The signs said road closed but there is a one lane gravel path through a 100' section of collapsed roadway.  Also, highway 19 is very packed gravel and can easily be traveled at 65 per.

19 to say 6 ?? thats good, knew about the lane through 7

like everyone else, i have a set of er6is but the page is showing discontinued. http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx
the seal is very good, and it blocks out wind noise and they seem to stay put.  amazon is showing a mc5 as a replacement, but they look much longer, not sure how they would function.

My gift to my self were a set of fitear molded stereo plugs. http://www.fit-ear.com/products-page/motorcycle-stereo-plugs/  i have the m2xb and have been super happy with them. the price is up there but great sound and fit. not sure how the ones greg uses compares for sound quality, but wind noise and filling ears with music seems like a more economical approach. seems like both of ours came from the cycle show. guess that wont help you in a week or two.

next gadget for tunes is my remote. i have a http://www.buyijet.com/remotes.html nav boss v2, use to have the standard black. i have it on my clutch master for easy reach. lets me play, pause, volume up and down next and back. it works great!!   Now if only i can find something similar for my android phone i would be golden.

Man involved in motorcycle crash succumbs to injuries

JACKSON — A motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday has claimed a second victim. Brian Engelkes, 35, of Sheldon, Iowa, died Wednesday, two days after his wife, Michelle, succumbed to her injuries.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, a report of a one-vehicle motorcycle accident came into dispatch shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday. The crash happened on Jackson County 4 near 480th Street, east of Little Spirit Lake in Minneota Township. Brian and his wife, 38-year-old Michelle Engelkes, were westbound when their 2011 Harley Davidson entered the north ditch and struck a driveway embankment. Both husband and wife were ejected from the motorcycle. Neither one was wearing a helmet.

Both were taken to Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake, Iowa, via ambulance and were later airlifted to Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls. Michelle died Monday at the hospital, while Brian was still listed in critical condition as of Tuesday afternoon. He died Wednesday morning.

A joint visitation for the couple will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service. Their service notices can be found on A2.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Lakefield Fire and Ambulance and Lakes Regional Hospital Ambulance. The incident remains under investigation.
