F, am I that obtuse?  By "they" I mean't the FBI provided me a tracking number for the case.

Bunch of posers.  Last gratuitous hand signal was a single digit for some dumb-ass that cut me off.  Go join the stone masons if you want some secret hand-shake, and don't get offended if I do not wave back - my concentration is elsewhere.

Response to an add placed on WERA (FBI complaint submitted)

"Thank you for your response, I'm very satisfied with the condition of the helmet and the final price. I live at Brooklyn, NY 11214, all i need you to do now is to consider the helmet sold to me. I would like to have your Full Name and Address with your Phone Number in order to mail out the check to you. I work with United Nations on Global Environment Facility Energy Right, right now I am in Germany for a confrence meeting to pledge and support the Global Environment Facility Energy, but i would instruct my secretary to issue the check out to you immediately. You don't need to bother yourself about the shippping, I have an international courier shipping company that would come for the pick-up, they would also determine and secure the shipment because i have some other items which would be shipped along with yours so let me have the weight of the helmet so that a waybill can be created before the shipping would be done cause i would be adding some extra fees to the check which is meant for the shipping and insurance. All you need to know is as soon as you receive the check, you would deduct your fee and send the rest funds to the shipping company information that would be provided to you in the meantime. I would tell my secretary to call you, so please get back to me ASAP with your Full Name, Address, Phone Number and what you decide so we can proceed with the payment. I would be hoping to hear from you as soon as possible."

Simple, risk management and common sense.  The application of which, not so simple.

I'm not comparing street and track here. In my opinion there as different as sport bikes and dirt bikes. I'm looking for opinions on what makes a good street rider and how that can make me a better rider.

The "obvious" does need to be pointed out now and again - you and Mike both know that!

Glad you are recovering well Bill, keep it up!  Lee told me about the crash and I sure was hoping there wouldn't be any long term issues.  I'll drink extra water on rides because of this!  Thanks.  I bet you will be enjoying two wheels again next summer.

And "Tim" I was assuming you were being sarcastic here with Bill, not sure maybe you guys are great friends I dunno... but yeah I agree with Mike the obvious doesn't need to be pointed out!

General Banter / Re: Why I ride Adventure-Tour Bike
« on: September 05, 2012, 01:52:00 AM »
For the street, a dual-sport bike makes more and more sense to me.  Most people cannot ride a sport bike to its fullest potential (or a dirt bike for that matter); remember getting schooled, in the Ozark's, a few years back by a guy on a GS - that thing was on rails

Rode with 10 German's on an Edelweiss ("Canadian Rockies") tour many years ago.  They were so impressed with my Aerostich over pants and jacket, six of them ordered  similar before returning to the Motherland.

You get what you pay for.
