The patching overlay they did last year was absolute SHITE.  It started coming up almost instantly. It looked like they did not treat the old pavement to make the new adhere and it came up in large chunks (perhaps where some oil was on the road surface).

Please remember one thing - when the paving is finished, Burnsville's finest will be running a revenue enhancemet sweep right in front of the power plant.  That stupidity is why I run a radar detector in the metro.  B'sville has dedicated traffic officers and they do pay for themselves.

I've bought a few bikes there, I like the low key.  Their extended warranty is good if you put on lots of miles, keep your bikes 3 yeas and chose a bike with iffy parts.  I made over $1k on my 3 yr Futura extended warranty.  Although the guy selling it to me wouldn't clarify which electrical parts were and were not covered.  That was slighty concerning to me since I only received a one page description (it is a self-funded plan run by Leo's, not a national plan).

Sanders, Some brands are price protected, so the online seller can't show their true price.  Those sites usually say, "Call for our best price."

Lloyd, I snapped a sideplate on my Shoei a few weeks ago and brought a replacement sideplate from Midwest Cycle Supply.  Depending on your brand, you may be able to replace the broken part (for example Icon are known for not supplying replacement parts).  Check the online helmet sellers for highest probablity of finding the part.  GL

I'm sorry I was trying to remember who you were. I remember now your that tall good looking guy that works at Bob's. Say I didn't know you live in Inver Grove so do I. Small world. Well lets get our CBRs out and do some ridding.

It's hell getting old ..... First the memory goes..... ;D

My father in law used to say, "The hearing is the second thing to go."  When you'd ask him, "So what's the first thing to go?" he'd laugh and say, "Funny, I can't remember!"

Splitting hairs here.
This discussion strikes me as nitpicking.
Perhaps not, the voting seems split evenly.

You probably already checked, but the shaft should be checked for movement or burrs.

So what specifically makes you think it is controversial or unsafe?

it is right above the quote;
"To us, safe riding starts with dressing properly for riding, being a proficient rider, riding witin your limits and riding your own ride. ...Read More "
Yet the rider's knee is clearly in the oncoming traffic lane (as is a lot of the upper body).

I feel part of the "anti-squid" philosophy we have in this group is to ride in your lane, not crossing into the opposing lane just to carry more speed through the conrer.

from the Pace article
6 Never cross the centerline except to pass.
Crossing the centerline in a corner is an instant ticket and an admittance that you can't really steer your bike. In racing terms, your lane is the course; staying right of the line adds a significant challenge to most roads and is mandatory for sport riding's future.

Seems to me that MSTA promotes safe riding (Pace, etc) yet we have a controversial picture on the home page.

Nothing rude meant to the capable rider in the photo.

there are some people out there that I just don't see fitting in well with a group like this.  But you know me...I'll give a person a chance until they prove they don't deserve it.

I'm gonna try my best not to bring junk from other forums onto here & hope others do the same.  I know thats going to be hard at times since a lot of us know each other from other places but we'll see how it goes!!

Ah, perhaps my reputation preceeds me?   Nah, I can be a nice guy.    Ian
