Title: Intro
Post by: fjr_elk on March 19, 2010, 10:24:17 AM
My "real" name is Mark Olson, I ride an FJR, as well as a Bandit 400 and a VF500F, my wife rides an EX250 which I also ride for hoots from time to time.  We're both signed up for Hedonistic Enthusiasm at DCTC on May 15th so we'll probably see some of you there.

I was an infrequent visitor to the MN-Sportbike mailing list on Yahoo.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark, I'm Chris. My wife and I are also going to He on the 15th. For HE, I will be on my SV650. My wife is currently looking for a new bike 500-700cc that is 5'4" friendly and less than $3k

Sounds like she's looking for an SV650...

The SV might be a little too tall, my 5' 2" wife couldn't manage to get her feet down on mine.  The Monster 620 is a possibility, there was one on CL recently for around $3k.  Definitely the EX500 would fit the bill, though, and there should be plenty of them for $3k or less.

yeah that's the problem we have faced over the years. Short inseam, sportbike heart...
I bought her an SV 650 in 2000 because of all the glowing reports AND she wanted a naked bike.  She put 26.5 miles on it, got off it and proclaimed, "It sure is windy!"  and never got on it again.
