General Banter / Re: Motorcycle shop at 2919 Central Ave, Minneapolis?

Don't remember name but he was a very big man. He showed me how to start it and walked away.  I learned very quickly motorcycles are not like bicycles... :) Came to the first corner and got off the bike and walked it around the corner, came to the second corner and I tippytoed it around the corner while straddling the bike. Thus my learning experience at motorcycling began :)

Meant to look that way, for sure. There may be a retired one here or there. But I'm quite sure there are no active officers (in the metro area) working there.  You'll note on the sides of the bikes is days "Special Deputy" :)  not.  You can tell a cop by the gun on his hip. A good friend of mine works for a escort service and the service he works for does the escort duty for the Ride For Kids 7/15/12 up at Century College, and Bill Bassett from Motoprimo leads the ride.

FYI PK, those guys riding motorcycles at/during funeral processions are NOT cops.

it was a good show.  Lots of people on Saturday.  Lots of MSTA people and the seminar's were good.   It did seem that were less vendor's.  But those that were there had nice displays :)    It was fun   ;D

Back when Howard was putting on all those miles. He did service work for 3M I think and when he had to go to Colorado or California for a service job he would take the bike and hold the throttle to the stop... and fly very low :)

I know Howard and Sharon. Back in 1987 when I joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association Howard was the coordinator for the state of MN. Howard was back here in August of 2009 when I took this picture up at our state rally in Alexandria.  And YES, he could drive. I remember once he hit a deer and had to duct tape the front end of his whole bike to get back :)
