Looks like Honda wants to compete with the Ninja 250

Both the ninja and new CBR look awesome!

Adorable.
It's even fuel injected and has ABS.
The mini-Ninja is very competitively priced (I think they break even on the bike). I wonder where this new Honda will be.

passenger ready, includes a back seat , grab bar and footrests....lol
Passengers need entry level bikes, too.
:)

It looks fairly ugly, and there is no need for abs on a 250, and the exhaust... but it will give people a choice, and maybe the 250 racing class will become even more popular.

I think its coming to the US for 2011, if you go out to the US Honda web site, they list it as one of the models, but no pricing yet.

I would argue that every streetbike would be safer and better with ABS.
+!
We have seen this with cars. Even superb drivers have trouble beating ABS for braking distance and then only under specific conditions such as certain types of gravel.
Additionally ABS allows steering input during threshold braking, something even the most skilled drivers cannot readily replicate. I assume this benefit extends to motorcycle ABS systems as well.
It's interesting how enthusiasts are often against driver aids. However many of the car "offs" I have seen on high speed road runs have occurred when the driver turned off actively handling and traction control.
I readily admit I am not as good as ABS and good traction control.

That's a pretty sweet looking bike! Would be nice "pretty" bike for my girlfriend; one that I may just have to steal to rip around from
Time to time :p this may be a stupid question but are the new ninja 250s fuel injected or carburated?*

I believe they are still carburated.
-
Oh okay so if this is a single cylinder fuel injected bike I wonder how it does in terms of performance compared to the ninjas carb'd two cylinder engine, do think it earns the style points over the kawi

This is just a wild guess but I think the Honda will probably be quicker from zero to fifty but the Kawi will have a higher top speed.

Well ya I guess with it being a lighter single cylinder vs two cylinder.. Pretty smart thinking on behalf of Honda, too bad that most people who are just getting into riding are smart enough to know that you shouldn't learn to ride on something you are still making payments on and will still be Paying for sometime here..Sure as hell beats riding this around town then
These huge fjrs and concours 14s :)

Lots of decent used mini-Ninjas out there to learn on. People buy them and move up.
They are so cute I don't think I could let it go if I had one.

Ha but hey atleast its not a scooter ;)
