Came across some old pics that are on my computer and thought I'd share...
this has got to be 2006 - me with my '02 F4i and nOOky with his ZRex. Good times, good times!!
-
Here's one with TK and nOOky in it... on a fall ride probably 2007 with my 600RR
-
and one from 2008 with nOOky's girlfriend Diane. Overlooking the Mississippi near LaCresent.
If you have some to share, please do so!
~D
-
These I believe are from a 2009 ride?

You guys look like you're in a band. :)
-
someone say Arkansas?
-
LOL at the house. The only thing that was missing from that scene was the banjo music. After reviewing all these pictures one thing is clear...
I should buy a treadmill. ;D
-
LOL
-
Yikes, sorry my pictures are so big. How do I add them as thumb attachments and not embedded?
-
Since this thread is titled, Blast from the past. I will go way back, in the way back time machine.
Please excuse the quality as there were no digital cameras back then, so these are pictures of pictures.
The sisters, 1985 Kawasaki Ninja 600's (the first true 600cc sportbike) Metzeler ME33 Comp K tires on the street bike and Michelin Hi Sports on the racebike.
The rental unit, one of my "used up" old 600 racebikes, painted in that flashy pink and white paint scheme, well it matched my Z custom leathers at the time.
Circa...1986 or 1987 or 1988?
-
Here was my idea of winter storage, all three bikes were on display on the showfloor. This would have been winter of 1989.
1989 ZX1000 Ninja, 1989 ZX-7 and 1985 Ninja 600 ( I always had a good relationship with Ninja 600's.)
The Ninja 600 even has a mannequin with full leathers and helmet and boots in a full race tuck, of course the neck is broken....lol
oh and notice some of the inventory, boysen reeds, dial a jet and points/condensor kits....lol boy does that date the bikes of the era
-
The 256,000+ mile 1988 Kawasaki Ninja 600. Kept that bike for 19 years, and saw plenty of other bikes come and go during that time. It served me well, and traveled to and through, I think 40 states in those miles.
The bike when originally painted in 1993, well the green was glow in the dark paint, the windshield also almost glowed in the dark, flourescent green, even had flourescent green spiral wrap over the SS brake lines.....by 2000 or 2001 the green no longer would glow in the dark, however it still attracked alot of attention and questions, by then it was mostly....WHY?
-
Cool pics, great to see some of those bikes again.
-
Awesome pics & info Lloyd!
-
Couple of my old bikes, 84 Honda 1000 Interceptor with the full Lockhart lower fairing
-
And an 85 Honda Nighthawk S
-
I had an 85 Nighthawk S in the same color scheme. Very practical low-maintenance bike. Note the much smaller front tire. Made for quick, light steering.
My bike did tend to stand up if I braked while leaned over. Not a good thing. Engine was peaky but I liked that at the time.

More for your amusement pleasure
Here is one from 1985. Boy was I skinny and look at all that hair (on left not paying any attention to the other 2)....lol
1979 CB650C, with all the vetter fairings, bags and extra driving lights- I especially like the icicles hanging from the roof, this was my very first brand new bike purchase. Only kept it until 1982 when I bought a V45 Sabre, the beginning of a long list of new bikes over the next decade+
-
I do this with trepidation, but if Lloyd's brave enough then I guess I should be.
A staged pic for my friends in CA, taken on lunch break in December 1988. That was the bike collection at the time:
1987 CBR1000F Hurricane
1986 Guzzi LeMans Mk IV w/aftermarket fairing & lowers
1980 Guzzi 1000SP
-
well if we are all diging into the ektachrome vault....
-
@4Kless, love that Guzzi, classic look
@Aprilian, BSA chopper?, awesome!
-
Now we have ourselves a GOOD thread going!!
Oh the 80's,that's a great look...LOL
I am still waiting on Ray to post up something, Ghost white legs, Tube socks up to his knees...oh wait that would just be a current pic....lol

I think Jay and Denyse are in this picture somewhere. I remember we split off from the main group to hit up twisties in IA, Houston and Winona Counties.

Cool pic, Tony. Those sunny days seam so far off this time of year, but at least the days are getting longer! :headbang:
This is from sometime before '07. Near the bottom of the hill on the southeast side of Wildcat, at HWY 33 & Cty F.
Left to right: Denyse, dunno, dunno (buddies of hers from Rochester area?) Vince, Kirk, Clueless Rebel, dunno, Dave O, Dave S, Jim, dunno (though I should), Jay.

Thanks for sharing. I don't see any bike newer than 05 or 06 so this predates the previous pic. Is Jay lost? I see him standing at the end of the line of bikes but his bike is way up at the front. Perhaps nature called :D
