.... point of discussion - Is there a moral dilemma letting a kid as young as the first boy  learning those tricks? The learning curve for some of those tricks has to be pretty steep.

Moral dilemma i think is pretty strongly stated. Irresponsible, maybe, but I don't think it's any more reckless than youth motocross. My boys are 7 and 5, and if it were up to me they would be riding already. Sure, learning trials might generate more bumps and bruises. But I have a hard time believing learning the skills of trials riding includes boulder jumps on day 5, for example.

Add a Boondocker fuel and boost controller to that Z1 Turbo and you can add horsepower at the touch of a button. I tested one with the fuel controller, nitrous, a timing key, 105 octane and 310 horsepower. Fun sled.

Traction must be a real problem at this point.

Indeed. Have the radar data on my computer somewhere. If I remember right, we were gaining 1/4 mile top end but losing 660 ft. acceleration when we adjusted to more than 225ish hp because of traction for our test conditions.

Well for me it is snowmobiling. My sled is the fastest sled ever made out of the box. It has more HP than my motorcycle, 175 hp at the track and my CBR has 155 hp at the wheel.

Unfortunately, I only have memories of such things. Several years ago I shipped my ZX-6R to California from Nov - Mar. Things aligned to get my bike there and back free of charge. I was traveling enough to Los Angeles to make it worth while. Had a business relationship with the California Speed Shop (no longer in business) in Costa Mesa. Over the several trips there, I flew into Orange County Airport, park the rental car and ride from place to place. Was a great winter - rode Palomar several times, PCH, several Ortega passes, Mulholland, Lake Arrowhead area, up to Willow Springs ... would love to have that opportunity back.

I think the way it is packaged and delivered now, in a social media viral campaign, is as far as it needs to go. Let those who seek it find it. No need for public airtime.

My skis tend to have engines that push them along quite nicely.

Roger hooked me up with those sparklers. Actually they were bottle caps sewn onto my leathers for that effect. Cool, eh?

Actually, lean indicators on the pegs is all I remember dragging around. Not aluminum I guess.

Loved this curve at Mid-Ohio. County 14 (IIRC) going south out of Fontana Village, NC is one of my all-time favorites. Have a pics of it, but non-digital!

My Slimey comment was a little rhetorical. I'll see what shakes. Have not been to Slimey/Leland in ... A decade or so?

If I show up on my Harley and I ride it real fast am I still in the slow group?

Yes.

Tim (Erickson) here. Was the "Timmy" of the MN-Sportbike board 6-10 years ago.  Yeah, finally showing myself 'round these parts.

Never took a break from riding, just don't get the motorcycle time I used to have with a young family. My rides have been largely commuter miles a few times a week - nice that I have a 70-mile round trip. Live in St. Michael. Current ride is a Futura and something else I haven't bought yet after going back to being a one-bike fella. Doesn't sit right...

Slimey Crud time soon?
