This may be an over share, but maybe some of you are guilty too.
A shorter than usual ride left me home earlier than usual, hot and sticky. After I showered I thought that maybe it was time to wash the lining and pads in my helmet as I had never done this in the years I've had my current helmet.
Ick!!! The darkening of the suds showed that a cleaning was long over due.
Aaaah!! All dry and back together again, fresh as a daisy!

Yuck! I do wash my liner and pads every year in the fall after riding season is done.

I tried washing mine for the first time after the weekend ride in may. I discovered my lineings do NOT come out. I washed them inside the helmet, and ya, I'm going to do it way more often now.
