Title: Interesting writeup on former TRACKSTAR owner
Post by: tk on April 28, 2011, 01:13:17 PM
The current issue of CITY PAGES has a feature article on the former owner of TRACKSTAR and his financial indiscretions. Interesting read.
There are comments from some of the victims of the scandal (Tom Manley among others). CITY PAGES is free so I don't know how accurate
their investigative juornalism is, take it with a grain of salt. ;D

Pretty interesting article.

I always wondered how the glory that was TrackStar could succeed at making money and wasn't surprised at its demise. I am however surprised at how feckless an endeavor it apparently was. I mean you would think that the big companies doing business with them would have some means of doing due diligence and keeping vigilance on them.

Too bad for Tom Manley and Marty Mataya...

Not surprising, another deadbeat trying to get rich by screwing other people out of their hard earned money.

I've known that business since Bill Bune started it until the last incarnation-Jack Bondus's ' Road Track and Trail' went under taking many riders bikes with it. At least Bill Bune's machine shop is still going and Tommy Wolk's Cycle-Shop is there for folks who want a place that can really fix their bikes. ;)GJ
