First off I have ridden behind this guy, and most of us wish we could hold a street line like he does. Second if this was Vince on a day he was feelin frisky, his knee would be over the white line on the inside of that corner.

Vince just does this shit to get girls to follow him around, and now Kim you want to watch? Think about it, he's a sly old fox.

The whole karma thing seems a bit silly to me. Vince just enlightened me to what it was, so I just gave everyone I thought gave me bad karma the same. That's how silly it is, it's just a game of tit for tat in my opinion.
Just like mngir 1 said, lets get back to the ridin part of this forum. When a thread goes viral just delete the whole thread and move on (end of problem). This bickering back and forth is wearin me out and I aint even involved. We don't need change, we need to move on. 201

I think we need to back this thing up just a little bit. All of you that make this the best club to be in are butting heads. Look at all the great stuf that comes out of this group of people. This internet thing is too easy to distort, when you say something with no expression on your face (and there is no face here) it is always serious.
In my opinion if something is important enough to change, then it is important enough to meet face to face. Just seems to me the argument has become more important than the subject here. 202
Safety and Riding Tips / Re: Rider Signals when Group Riding« on: April 03, 2012, 07:11:03 PM »
If I can signal for road debis without disrupting my own ride I will do it. But most times I just make sure I make it through and hope everyone else can do the same. I like to give a heads up for people, bicycles, ect on the road when I can, mostly to acknowledge there pressents and let them know we do see them.

General Banter / Re: Why I Belong To The MN-MSTA« on: March 27, 2012, 02:41:14 PM »
Vince invited me on a Lloyd ride and I was hooked. I had never been on such an organized ride in my life(600m on twisties in one day) what a gas. My first paced ride (who knew)
For me I would pay much more to have met some of the riders I have met here. The best riders I've known are on this forum. Some of the young ones get alittle over zealous at time and so do (Vince) others, but it's all part of the mix. I will pay my dues and ride with you guys as long as I can. In my opinion the dues are not for the forum, it's about being involved with the people and the events they put on. 206
General Banter / Re: Endemic MN-MSTA Problems« on: March 27, 2012, 11:46:47 AM »
Ray, I would be more than willing to put on some rides up here(N-Mn, N-Wis, UP) if anyone would be interested. I could probably us a little help setting it up, but I know the roads pretty well.

I'll be 62 this year, at the time I start tipping over at the stop signs, I will be ridin a can am. Won't stop ridin that till I start fallin asleep. I don't know if I will get too old to ride, but I do know I will get old if I stop riding.

General Banter / Re: The Answer to Whether You Can Join a Ride Posted on the Forum« on: March 26, 2012, 07:40:06 PM »
I have no problem leading a ride when everyone's in an area none of us knows, or up here where I'm the one that knows the roads. But when I'm down there where you guys know all the roads, I don't care to lead at all. It is way more fun to just stay focused on ridin my bike and not have to worry where we are.

I personally think that if it is a group ride, it's a group ride. I think waiting to make sure everyone has made it through the last leg of the ride is very important. I know when we do group rides on sleds at each stop we make sure that everyone is there. If things go wrong for a rider (and they do go wrong) I for one would be pretty pissed if you all just left me lay there to bleed out. These are very dangerous sports we participate in and if you think the most important thing when someone turns up missing is that they can read and follow a route sheet! Come on you guys, if that is truely how you think, again I have picked the wrong people to ride with.
I'm pretty sure that most of you I ride with on here would not leave another rider behind. For those that would leave a fellow rider behind, I suggest you come riding sleds with us and you will understand the true meaning of group riding. I ride with all of you because I want to be part of a group ride. If I wanted to ride my own ride I would ride by myself. I do know what you mean by riding your own ride, but I do ride with all of you because I want to be part of this group. |
