General Banter / Cold weather armored riding suit
« on: March 03, 2013, 03:36:32 PM »
I currently have an Aerostich roadcrafter, but it is only good to about 60-65 degrees for me. Curious if anyone here has any thoughts on the Darien or any other cold weather (30 degrees) armored suits.

About 15000 for the year; 1800 on the Valk before selling, then another 13200 on the Versys. Longest day ride was to Spring Green and back (roughly 600) via all those lovely WI letter roads.

General Banter / GPX file upload to Garmin
« on: June 15, 2011, 10:05:27 PM »
Can anyone tell me how to upload the GPX files to my Garmin Nuvi 550? You would think it would be easy, but I can't seem to figure it out and their manual is pretty much useless.  ???

Enforce tail gaiting laws. I either have to speed, change direction, or pull over to let them pass. On a bike, I am at their mercy. If I try to leave room ahead of me on the freeway, someone will pull in. If I'm on a two lane with heavy traffic, my only real choice is to pull over and let the buttholes by. >:(  If I'm in my F350, I can tap the brakes, but not on the bike.  :)

Love the Aerostich Roadcrafter. I also have a 2 pc vented suit, but will still grab the Stich as the arms will scoop the air with the zippers open thereby making it more comfortable on my fully faired bike, whereas the mesh just aren't as cool. On a non-faired bike, on a hot day, the mesh suit is definately the choice.
