I logged on this evening to catch up with local MSTA and was quite shocked to hear about Steve Miller's passing. I share Vince's grief at Steve's passing. Steve and I shared the same employer for the last few years. Prior to that, he worked for another employer who was a vendor. I not only had motorcycle contact through MSTA with Steve and Sue, I had professional contact for several years. I'll miss Steve.

I purchased a JACO ElitePro Tire Pressure Gauge - 60 PSI. I like the backlit analog that holds at the peak measurement. I found it spot on to my other (hard to read in dim light) LCD guages. We'll see if it lasts. 4

Also make sure you look at the date code of the tires you purchase. Several years ago I received Bridgestone tires from Dennis Kirk that had a four year old date code. They did right by me and shipped me fresh tires. They explained that they don't stock all types of tires on site (these were touring tires for the ST) so they have no control over the warehouse and inventory control from distributors.

General Banter / Re: WHERE ARE THEY?« on: May 23, 2019, 07:01:33 PM »
Several years ago, I started a thread that was strictly focused on motorcycle accidents from stats published by the State Patrol. It was simply a thread to show riders how accidents occur and convey the message about proper training. I posted these stats for almost a whole season and was shocked how large the thread view count had grown, (132,250 as indicated today). I suspect the member list might have grown from people who don't even ride and were drawn by the tragedy factor of that thread I discontinued the practice as these stats are already public on the State Patrol site anyway.

Glad there was consequences. Personally I would have liked to stood there in person and heard him try to explain why he was over halfway in your lane. Does it mean anything in your life? Probably not but it forces him to look you in the eye and admit he f'ed up.

TK, Darcy, Ed and myself did a small ride several years ago to the Little Miami. I led them in on the gravel side, LOL.

Lacrosse Tribune has updated their photo album with aerial shots of many towns. Highway 131 is basically gone in several sections.

I read this evening that I90/94 was closed near Mauston. The pictures coming out of the Coon Valley/Cashton area is horrible. The Slimey Crud ride will be interesting in a month.

Ontario was underwater this morning. Coon Valley roads are closed. They have another bad rain coming through this evening.
